Berluskoni's Pizza & Ice Cream

Berluskonis Pizza & Ice CreamTucked away from Camden's well beaten track of everyday heavy foot traffic Berluskoni's delivers a slice (get what I did there?) of Italian paradise on the upper level of the infamous Camden Stables Market.

Berluskoni's Pizza & Ice Cream is a quaint cosy spot with rustic wooden tables and an eclectic mix of seats, ideal for a lunchtime getaway or even a candlelit romantic evening meal.  Having lived in New York for many years, I am partial to a good slice, or 2... or 3 of good pizza and Berluskoni's gives just that.

For starters we tried the minestrone soup and the provola bites washed down with some delicious cocktails. Be warned that the minestrone soup was a meal in itself; be careful not to get too full before your main arrives.

After perusing the menu for a while I felt spoilt for choice and requested a recommendation from our lovely waiter who after getting an idea of my pallet suggested I try the pepperoni pizza, though I must say I was torn as the cannelloni ricotta & spinach, the whole sea - bass and the lasagne caserecce sounded just as appealing.

Berluskonis Pizza & Ice Cream CamdenI thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Berluskoni's. The staff are great and attentive and the food top notch. They have an interesting desert menu offering everything from super knickerbocker glory, limoncello sorbets and pizza desserts - don't knock it until you've tried it.

I plan on spending a lot of time in Camden over the summer months and now that Berluskoni's has arrived, I have all the more reason to.
