Gaucho Polo at the O2
“The game of Kings”
On the 21st March, London’s O2 arena was the best ticket around for all polo enthusiasts.
Originating in Peru in the 15th century BC, the game of polo was quickly adopted by many countries around the world, with Argentina and Britain being amongst the most popular lovers of the game; our very own Prince Harry is always at the ready, waiting to don his tighty whities and hop on a horse.
In keeping with this white trouser tradition there is a ‘white jeans’ charity theme this year. For every guest that arrived wearing white jeans, a £1 donation was made to the British Forces Fund.
This year Gaucho International Polo held this unique event, “putting polo and music together for the first time” to celebrate Argentinian culture and sportsmanship, live music was provided by Grammy Award winners, Bajofondo.
Guests witnessed two arena polo matches on the day, as Scotland took on Ireland and England went head to head with Argentina. A fun night was had by many who took advantage of the wine tasting lounge, the great entertainement and the excuse to step into our white jeans.
